multidisciplinary artist - artiste multidisciplinaire

Annabelle is a light skinned person with wavy shoulder length brown hair with blue ends. She is shown from the waist up, standing slightly turned towards the camera with hands crossed and smiling with a multi-coloured quilt as the backdrop. Annabelle is wearing large black wire rim glasses, dark eyeliner, dark pink lipstick, neon orange circular and diamond two piece earrings and a green, blue, pink and purple crocheted flower square cardigan with a black tank top underneath.

Born and raised in Moncton, New Brunswick, as a French Acadian, Annabelle was always fascinated by performance and making art. Today, she is a multidisciplinary artist who is fascinated with the intersection between the queer and Acadian communities.

Growing up in the warm and family-oriented Acadian community, her grandmother taught her how to knit as a child. Annabelle has been knitting for over 20 years and crocheting for over 10 years. She merges those techniques with the world of drag, and all other fiber art forms she can teach herself.

Annabelle teaches workshops on drag, embroidery, and fiber arts across New Brunswick, works as an educator, does commissions pieces, costumes for drag performers, is a film maker, an actor, and so much more!

Annabelle Babineau (she/they/elle/iel)

Une bonne p'tite acadienne, well sort of.
