Barb (she/her/elle) has the same energy as your Acadian aunt who likes to dance in the kitchen. For the past 5 years, Barb Wire has been traveling all over New Brunswick, from the north of the province to the south, with a few visits to Nova Scotia too! She loves performing in small Acadian communities, bringing joy and queer pride to these wonderful areas of the province. Barb Wire is an Acadian drag queen who knits and crochets (just like her grandmother taught her,) except that instead of using the patterns her grandmother taught her, Barb makes crochet pieces for drag, inspired by ideals of femininity, extraterrestrials, creatures, art and Acadian culture. She is known for her energetic and often humorous performances.

Barb a la même énergie que ta matante acadienne qui aime danser dans les cuisines. Barb Wire se promène partout et adore faire des spectacles dans les petites communautés acadiennes situées aux Maritimes. Elle se réserve non seulement à celles-ci mais fait également de la scène dans les communautés rurales et urbaines francophones, anglophones ou bilingues. Elle adore partager sa passion pour l’art du drag tout en apportant de la joie aux autres. Sa fierté acadienne queer est contagieuse.

Barb Wire est une drag Queen acadienne qui fait du tricot et du crochet comme sa mémère. Quoiqu’elle profite des patrons et des techniques enseignés par sa grand-mère paternelle, Barb s’inspire également par les attributs de la féminité, des particularités extraterrestres, des créatures fantastiques, de la culture acadienne et de la communauté queer pour confectionner ses propres costumes. De plus, elle est aussi connue pour ses performances énergiques ayant souvent une petite touche d'humour.
